No, PDL does not require an appointment for your routine lab visit, only for kit draws. If you have a kit draw, please contact our Client Service Department to make an appointment at 805-879-8100.
Many laboratory tests have normal ranges based on the patient “fasting.” This means nothing to eat or drink, except water, for eight to fourteen hours prior to having your samples collected at one of our Patient Service Centers.
No, you may not eat or drink anything besides water while you are fasting.

PDL accepts orders from any authorized provider in the state of California. Please bring your requisition or lab prescription with you on your visit.
Lab results are delivered by courier to your physician’s office or faxed to the physician’s office as soon as they are available.
Most results will be available to your physician within three to five business days.
Please contact your physician’s office to obtain a copy of your lab results. PDL does not release results directly to patients without first receiving an acknowledgement from the patient’s healthcare provider.
